Our residential moving process includes a few steps, the first is when we receive your quote or booking request. After we receive the online quote or phone call request; we will be in touch with you for an introduction and to understand the full requirements of your move. A location overview may need to be completed depending on the information you provide about the type of move, any special requests, if the move is big and has many heavy items, or if there are any limiting restrictions to the move.

A Quote will be provided to you via email. The first quote is typically based on the size of the home and the distance of the move between Point A and Point B. During the quote request and booking process, the customer must provide all of the details about their furniture, quantity of boxes, number of rooms, obstacles, and if there are any other restrictions. All of these details will help to ensure that the quote is more accurate and that the time is booked appropriately.

Numidia Movers will confirm the moving booking appointment with you via the email address that you provided. Your confirmation will include all of the details you provided in the quote request, the date of move, and the timeframe window of the day that the move will take place. For the first residential move of the day, the customer can expect the movers to arrive around 8:00 am. Depending on the number of scheduled moves during the day, we will make an estimation of the timeframe of arrival with a safety margin and inform you to be at the location between that time interval. If you are not available to be present during the timeframe window, you can arrange that request with us before hand to accommodate access to the home and belongings.

We only require a deposit for moves scheduled outside of the city of Calgary perimeter. The travelling time hourly rate will be taken as the deposit.

To avoid a cancellation fee, you must cancel or reschedule the moving appointment by giving Numidia Movers 3 calendar days notice prior to your move date. Any changes after the 3 days will be subject to our cancellation fee of a minimum of 2 hours of labour.

Feel free to package all of your contents yourself, or leave the chore to our moving crew. With our hourly rate, we provide both packing and unpacking services as well as disassembly or re-assembly of furniture such as beds, tables, and desks. If you require any packing supplies such as boxes, tape or bins to package all of your belongings, we can supply those to you at an additional charge and they must be requested during the booking process. We must be made aware of the request to pack or un-pack your belongings, as this takes extra time and we need to accommodate for this in our quote and timeframe. All furniture must be emptied prior to the movers arriving.

It is the customers’ responsibility to point out and address any damages to the home or possessions, prior to the move commencing. The moving crew will do a quick walk-through to check for any visible damages.

We plan the organization of the moving truck packing, to fit all or as much into the truck load to minimize trips between places. The sorting of rooms or areas of a home happens with labels and stickers, so those boxes or furniture can be unloaded to the correct rooms of the home upon arrival. We mark fragile items with special stickers and protect those items with moving blankets. Our moving trucks are stocked with utility dollies, furniture dollies, straps, blankets, queen and king sized mattress covers, and wardrobe boxes for clothes.

It is the customers’ responsibility to point out and address any damages to the home or possessions that occurred during the moving process and on the move date. Claims for damages must be made on the move date of the actual move and be submitted in writing to the lead mover on the job. Numidia Movers will be not be held responsible for any damages that happened afterwards, therefore all belongings must be checked carefully by you immediately after the move has been completed.

The customer agrees to pay Numidia Movers the hourly rate as specified per hour during the packing, loading and unload phases. Customer will pay Numidia Movers the full price for the labour hours, 5-15 minutes before the move is completely done. In the case of 2 or more loads, the lead mover may ask the customer to make a payment after each unloading. With last minute moves or long distance moves, a deposit will be taken and will be agreed upon before the move; in the amount of no less than 2 hours of labour.

Numidia Movers accepts all types of payment options, and the moving crews will have a card reader machine that accepts all debit and credit cards. There are no extra fees associated with using the card reader machine.

We will provide you with an electronic receipt when you pay by card. If you pay with cash and would like a receipt, our moving crew will provide you with an invoice upon request.
